TranTech is providing construction management services for the new jointly maintained WSDOT/SDOT Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge. Work involves demolition and removal of the existing segment of pedestrian bridge substructure connected to Washington State Ferries Colman Dock and construction of a new bridge structure, including sidewalk and pavement restoration, new luminaire fixtures, curb ramps, and storm drains, as well as replacing the railing on the remaining existing segment of the bridge onto Western Ave. The project also includes the demolition of the temporary Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge on Columbia Street and restoration of the sidewalk, pavement, and utilities associated with the demolition work.
