Cape Flattery Scenic Byway Project

Cape Flattery Scenic Byway Project Construction

TranTech, as a major subconsultant to Parametrix, was recently selected to provide Construction Management Services for the Cape Flattery Scenic Byway Project located in Neah Bay. This project will consist of sub grade reconstruction, mill, grade, drain and paving of the Bayview and Cape Flattery Roads. About 11 miles of road is to be half overlayed and half new paved on an existing gravel road. Part of the overlay and all of the gravel portion will also include widening. This project will also include the replacement of several old wood culverts, some salmon bearing streams, and a plantable gabion retaining wall system.

TranTech’s primary role will be to provide comprehensive construction administration services on behalf of the Makah Tribe to advertise and award the construction project, monitor, inspect, document, administer the construction phase, prepare progress payments, and complete final contract documentation as required by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Makah Tribe. The construction budget for this project is $10 million.
