Richard Deccio, PE
Richard Deccio has 26 years of experience in project management and drainage and roadway design for public and private projects. He has expertise in the preparation of PS&E for roads, storm, sewer and water systems; storm drainage modeling, analyses, and repair designs; and comprehensive stormwater plans and updates. Richard has prepared hundreds of drainage design projects in conjunction with storm pipe repairs and street upgrade projects for local and state government entities. He is also a skilled communicator, participating regularly in city council meetings and public information events. Prior to joining TranTech, Richard served as the City of Carnation Public Works Director and City Engineer for four years in addition to public sector work with Duvall, Enumclaw, Woodinville, and Seattle, as well as Snohomish and King Counties.

Drainage Engineer. Preparing the temporary Erosion and Sedimentation Control (TESC) Plans, which will incorporate Best Management Practices (BMPs). He is also preparing the stormwater quality treatment and conveyance plans.
Sound Transit, Lakewood Layover Project |Lakewood, WA
Design Engineer. Responsible for water and sewer design for this layover facility that will be located on Sound Transit’s railroad right-of-way at the Lakewood Station.
Swinomish Tribe, Northern Lights Swinomish Casino | Anacortes, WA
Drainage Engineer. Designed redevelopment and new development on a 20-acre site with 3 sub-basins and retro fit of existing drainage to meet new detention and water quality standards. Incorporated the use of LID design standards to include raingardens, dispersal trenches, and porous pavement.
